Would you like a chance to practice family medicine in a community that is renowned for its recreational opportunities, including some of the best boating destinations in the world!? Little Current, on Manitoulin Island, located only 1.5 hours from Sudbury, is an ideal spot for an excellent locum experience.

We have a group of 6 highly experienced physicians, all of whom are long-standing NOSM preceptors. You will spend time in ER, community and First Nations clinics and be guaranteed time off post call. The ER is attached to the clinic and hospital so there is always someone nearby to ask for advice or backup.

Remuneration is through the OMA Rural Locum Program which pays $850/clinic day plus travel expenses (within Ontario), travel days honoraria and accommodation. ER is supplemented through the Sessional Program plus extra benefits including THAS, LTC On-Call funding, shadow billing and some ER procedures are fee for service. Your accommodations will be first class, with a fully-furnished waterfront condominium overlooking the marina.
